~Analyzing a Personal Blog Entry~

For this exercise I decided to analyze my blog entry titled "My Presentation." So basically I'll just list what I found and evidence that supports it.
**Socially Situated Identities:
~Confident authority on personal work
-proposed changes weren’t for changing information but rather “reconsidering the groupings”
~Tech savvy
   -scrolling heading
**Discourse Models:
~Academic material should be significant and concise
-"delete my last slide", "didn't feel like it was important enough" to be included, no extraneous rambling in blog post
**Situated Meanings:
~"didn't feel like it was important enough"
-reflects conscious effort to keep work concise
~language- no slang but liberal use of "I" and contractions
-blog post is academic but still informal

  1. You wrote this before I sent out the email with other options, so I am not sure if you are sticking with this option. If you are, it looks like you have already gotten a jump on things and are on your way. You have some good stuff here in your brainstorming and plenty of rich blog entries for analysis.

I'm not clear on where this one is going, but I suspect it will make more sense when you unpack it more.

  2. Yeah it sounds like you are ahead of the curb. I still am having a bit difficulty deciding but it will all be done before Tuesday arrives.
